Hey friend, have you heard about the new Netflix show that is about an AI and sex doll? It’s really weird but it is actually quite interesting. At first I was like “what the heck?”, but the more I watched it the more I started to understand the concept and dildos idea behind it.
I think a lot of people were surprised by the show’s premise, combining a humanoid robot and a sex doll. It made me wonder what could this show be about and what could be the purpose of it? Could it be a message to society about how technology is impacting our lives and relationships?
Well, I guess I was wrong about the purpose of the show because after watching it I realized it was more of a commentary on how the world is changing and the growing popularity of sexualization of robots. Apparently, this type of show is not new as a few months back there was a popular article in Buzzfeed about how people are buying robotic sex dolls as companions.
I must admit that I was a bit taken aback by the idea of people trading in real life relationships for robotic ones. It’s not something I’d expected to be an issue but it’s becoming more prominent in today’s society, with people relying on technology more than ever.
To me, the show is a warning to not let technology take away our humanity and our natural need to interact and stay in touch with people. Instead, I think it’s important to recognize that technology can be a tool to enhance our lives, dildos but should never replace human relationships.
I do think the show is very entertaining though, the AI is quite realistic and it’s amazing to see how advanced technology has become. But, at the same time I think it’s important to keep a level of skepticism and remember not take everything at face value. Especially when it comes to robots and AI, it’s important to be conscious of the power they have over us.
